I’m excited to share our coastal-inspired guest room today! The art reminded me so much of memories we have boating through the Ten Thousand Islands off of Marco Island where pods of dolphins and manatees live.
Welcome to our foyer! I fell in love with this rattan-detailed cabinet and it’s been perfect storage for our sunglasses, hats and beach accessories. My boys are constantly adding to their 🐚 collection, and the seagrass mirror is great for making the foyer feel larger. I had the hardest time deciding on flooring for our first floor as I love hardwood floors, but humidity and the pounds of sand my boys somehow bring in from the beach are not a good combination. This coastal tile has been so durable and blended well with our decor!
Our eating area is quite narrow in our Florida home, but I’m always up for a design challenge! I found the perfect beachy-distressed table and benches, and softened the look with slipcovered captain’s chairs. The mirror makes the space feel larger and pillows, rattan accents and a functional centerpiece completed this space!
Last year we decided to invest in a little place in our favorite beach town. It’s been a dream come true to make memories here! I’ve loved designing coastal-inspired rooms that are both comfortable and budget-friendly. All sources for our family room are listed on the LTK app and in my profile.
Happy Saturday! I’m sharing another before and after of my client’s dining area. While the light fixture and bar area is new, the chairs were re-purposed from the dining room and the table was re-stained to fit the new space. The windows are the real show-stoppers though!
Here’s another view of yesterday’s kitchen reveal! The former dinette had a built-in bench which is now better utilized as a bar. A wine fridge and extra cabinetry are perfectly suited for entertaining. We had the existing solid-wood kitchen table re-stained to match the island and elevated the space with upholstered dining chairs. I styled the space using different textures including woods, wovens, greenery, marble, and stone which creates a warm and inviting feeling!
